You can have a tutorial but it should be easy to exit and easy to skip / disable. If you want me to ever use your app or pay you any money, try showing some respect for the end user and their time. Not having a skip button and disabling user input it really awful design and unacceptable. This happens for everything and again can not be skipped.ĭear developer.
It’s should have a skip button or not exist.īut after putting up with that pointless waste of my time I the tried to actually use the app and well the first time you go into a section after a fresh install the app stops responding to user input until you do another tutorial. 1 star.Īnd no it’s not just a 60 second thing. Unable to skip an annoying and pointless tutorial. Mos4567's Review of Mug Life Reviewed on 8/10/18 10:15 PM

Thank goodness there are new apps coming out all the time that can compete with apps like MugLife and whose developers don't try and scam customers with a monthly price and just charge one fair fee like it should be done before this disgusting and unethical trend started. But, it doesn't work, it's very plain to see why every developer on the App Store is switching to a subscription model, just the l*** for way more money and without offering anything close to enough changing and new content in apps like this to warrant it, not even slightly. They will give every excuse under the sun to try and rationalize and obfuscate these greedy motivations.
So, asking customers to pay them monthly for something many of us already paid good money for is just good old fashioned greed at its worst. This developer wasn't hurting for money, I can just about guarantee you that they've already made a really nice profit from this app, it was even featured by Apple on the home page. Before this greed trend started, you used to just buy apps for one fair price and updates to keep the app running or add new features were part of that price, it's always been that way and it worked.
An update here or there by this developer, doesn't warrant charging a monthly fee. Netflix deserves a subscription plan, it's a constantly changing service with new content being added all the time. How much money do developers like this believe we have, that we can pay a monthly fee for every single app we want to buy, or now rent, and use? They can rationalize all they want, I mean we should believe them, right? They are the ones demanding a monthly fee to animate photos, they wouldn't lie about their true motivations behind changing an app I already paid good money for, into another app that doesn't warrant a subscription plan, right? No, that would just be madness to believe that, right?īut, now because of the greed of every developer under the sun, every app on the App Store has become a subscription, when about 99% of them it's totally uncalled for, wasteful to customers who actually waste their money on it, and really obnoxious that every app is doing this. It's just pure unadulterated GREED and nothing more. I'm so sick and fed up with the greedy motivation of every app developer believing their app should have a subscription now.
